Announcements

None this week.

Last Week in Crypto

  • Bitcoin finished up the week up 6%

  • Solana rallied 6 to 12% leading in Dex volume

  • Vanguard and Bank of America opened crypto ETFs/funds to millions of clients

  • Ethereum deployed the Fusaka Hard fork for faster Layer 2 processing and lower fees. This is the second Ethereum upgrade on the year.

Last Week in Stocks

  • S&P 500 finished the week up 0.3%, falling just 0.7% below a ATH

  • Top sectors this week were Tech, Energy, and Communication Services

  • Odds continue to favor a Fed rate cut this week on Wednesday (94%)

Opinion: It was mostly an overdue good week all around considering what’s been happening in the markets (crypto especially). Usually a FOMC week sees markets de-risking Monday/Tuesday with fears of what Powell might say or to anticipate a sell the news event (for example rate cuts happening as everyone expecting causing some selling). Hopefully we can get some end of the year momentum back and maybe if some more economic data comes out about holiday shopping it might give another reason for a Santa Claus rally.

Bitcoin

A mostly choppy week followed by what was looking like a promising rally. We still can’t seem to hold or break resistances when momentum shows up which is pretty typical when working on a bottom or stalling before another flush. The downtrend is still in tact, we haven’t broken any major resistances or confirmed that a reversal has started. This is pretty typical price action for what you’d expect being closer to a bottom.

Prediction: The squiggles seem to be doing pretty good. I think Binance had a pretty abnormal pump on their charts that other exchanges didn’t see. There were quite a few liquidations in both directions which shows how the market is still over leveraged due to slower price movements.

Ethereum

Have to admit this one is looking much better than even Bitcoin. We did get a very clean rejection on that 20 MA that was shared last week but here we are back to pushing back up with a new support that seems to be holding well.

Prediction: I actually think this one has a chance to sustain a rally based on it continuing to make higher lows and TA like OBV showing much more promising signs. Too early to call a bottom or claim that the $2,600 won’t be re-tested but as long as stocks don’t have a miserable week I think $3,400 is doable.

Total Crypto Market Cap

We’ve made a higher low and as long as we can keep this going it does look like there’s a chance to make another push towards that 3.2 trillion marketcap range. Expect some volatility Wednesday but if Crypto can start trading independently of Stocks look to see this make a push during the week.

🔥 Crypto to watch

$XRP - Think there’s actually a decent chance to grab some here knowing that it’s not going to take much momentum to push it back to $2.4. The holders are pretty firm about fending off the $2.00 range and seeing $ETH look good I think there’s a decent chance for some upside here.

On-chain Projects to watch

TRACKING WITH GURU

This week $COR and $PAPPLE making the biggest moves. On chain still mostly a ghost town but if $ETH can break out that resistance shared above there could be a real chance at the cob webs being dusted off and some real volume returning.

Current Watchlist 5

$COR, $BERRY, $PAPPLE, $PROOF and $GURU

This Week in Stocks

A slow week with one big day packed in the middle, the classic FOMC and Powell speech. Odd markets putting it at a 94% we get a rate cut which the market wants to see. I think what becomes more important now is what Powell has to say and if there will be any hints to more cuts coming in the future.

  • FOMC interest rate decision, Powell Press Conference - (Wednesday at 2pm ET, December 10th)

  • Initial Jobless claims, US Trade Deficit (Thursday, December 11th)

$FLNC ( ▲ 2.15% ) (Fluence Energy)

A big almost 20% week for $FLNC. Market seems to be slowly finding about it more after such a strong guidance. Another new local high has been crushed and now looking for the $26 to hit next.

$CROX ( ▲ 0.12% ) (Crocs) - Still liking the target, unless it starts coming back to entry the goal is to still sell higher.
