Last Week in Crypto
Bitcoin and majors showed some strength but have since retraced majority of those moves
Ethereum actually was out performing Bitcoin on the week
Both Bitcoin and Ethereum showed positive ETF inflows recovering from negative November outflows.
Last Week in Stocks
The fed cut rates 25bps, seeing two days of upward price action with a pullback Friday.
S&P 500 very close to making an ATH
$ORCL and $AVGO had large market sell offs post earnings
The Nasdaq fell about 1.7%
Opinion: Probably a lot of frustrated crypto holders at this point where prices will show progress and often get all retraced in a day. Stocks are on the verge of an all time high but that’s causing some de-risking and stocks like $ORCL and $AVGO are putting a little more uncertainty in people’s minds. Looking like some value stock plays are showing more volume rotating into them as people look to take profits in the tech sector. Will be curious to see how we can finish the month overall and if we get any sort of Santa Claus rally or that was the extent of it.
Bitcoin
Every time it looks like it has a chance to break the downtrend or show some strength it fails with the follow through. Some exchanges are still heavily selling and I think there’s still a lot of uncertainty in the markets overall.
Prediction: We continue to follow the rough path of the squiggles. Binance showed a much larger spike on price than what other exchanges showed. But for now we still remain in a downtrend with bulls hoping that Monday can act as a catalyst for a new week and some upside momentum.
Ethereum
We had a really nice explosive pump up with a good looking OBV breakout. But after FOMC and with some stock market uncertainty once again we’ve seen the move fully retrace.
Prediction: We got the expected pump last week (arrow was the prediction). Unfortunately it has since fully retraced. I guess the good news is that it’s found support again and if we can pump back again it should finally take us higher and show a downtrend reversal. However, if this support loses it’ll be hard to see a scenario where the $2,600 support isn’t retested.
Total Crypto Market Cap
Still hovering around that 3 trillion marketcap support. Holding the diagonal but if that breaks we will probably have another round of selling in crypto. Goods news is there’s still a chance it holds but for now it’s back to leaning like more downside.
🔥 Crypto to watch
$XRP - UPDATE - Still holding around that $2 support range. Will continue to hold through the week but if we get a close below this support range will look to cut.
Closed Trades
$UNI - Closed at 34%
$ROSE - Stopped out at -20%
$CRV - Stopped out at -23%
On-chain Projects to watch
TRACKING WITH GURU
Only $GURU green on the week. Was looking good once again until $ETH decided to retrace its move.
Current Watchlist 5
$COR, $BERRY, $PAPPLE, $PROOF and $GURU
This Week in Stocks
A week with a lot of postponed economic data releases. Tuesday we have unemployment numbers that are expected to show an increase. Thursday we have CPI which could be impactful for the markets. Most notable earnings would probably be $MU (Micron Technology). Japan does have a policy meeting that could influence some price action.
US Unemployment Rate (Tuesday, December 16th).
Core CPI (Inflation) - (Thursday, December 18th)
🔥 Stocks to watch
Not adding anything as we head into the holidays. $CROX and $FLNC still doing well.
OPEN TRADES
$FLNC - Currently up 15%, high of 33%
$CROX- Currently up 11%, high of 12%
CLOSED TRADES
$SABR - Closed at -11%
$CAN- Closed at 111%
$DRD - Closed at 62%
$ROOT - Closed at -4.5%
$NGVC - Closed at -6.1%
$TGT - Closed at -12%
$FLNC ( ▲ 2.15% ) (Fluence Energy)
Still up double digits and going strong. A big pullback day but that was seen with a lot of stocks overall. As long as we are holding above the blue diagonal I will keep holding.
$CROX ( ▲ 0.12% ) (Crocs) - Now up double digits. Seems like as the market moves away from tech some retail plays are doing better.
